Take our Engineering Stream Selector Assessment Package and find out which engineering degree is most suitable for you as per your interest, personality and aptitude.

JEE Main is a comprehensive entrance test which is given to get into prestigious institutions like IIITs and NITs but one thing a student forgets is that they also have to choose a stream of engineering. Often, a student prefers the reputation of the institute first and then the stream, but it should be the other way round.
Whatever the stream you choose in your engineering should be based on your interest so that later you don’t feel that the subject is a burden. Also, you should choose a stream that has great prospects in future as technology is automating most of the jobs. So, one should not choose a stream that is not in line with future requirements.
Well, one should also choose a stream which complements one’s personality, as a person who has an interest in automobiles will not like the Computer Science Engineering stream and vice versa. And maybe sometimes one should consider aptitude too. If you will not have the desired aptitude for the stream you will face a lot of difficulties. So, one should face the harsh reality right now rather than facing it later.
So, your interest, personality and aptitude are the major factors on the basis of which you should choose an engineering stream. If you are unsure about either one or all of the factors you should take the help of Career Counselling.
Career Counselling and career guidance are of paramount importance now more than ever. Choose a good career counsellor who can properly guide you in this. Ideally, there should be a test conducted by the career counsellor to know more about your interest, aptitude and personality and then on the basis of that, they should tell you what can be the best stream for you.
So, along with writing JEE Mains, you should also look into career counselling.
To conclude, I would just like to say that give your best shot in JEE Mains. Hope you clear it and get into a prestigious institution of your choice. And while you are at it start looking for different streams of engineering and take up career counselling to understand which one will be suitable for you.
